''My
name is Xann Ramirez
and this is a brief
story about my son
Andres Rosalio. My
husband Rene and I
waited some time before
we decided to have
children so that we
would be able to provide
good things for whomever
we brought into the
world. The time came
when we decided to
try for a child and
we had a hard time
concieving We both
prayed very hard and
constantly and before
we knew it, we were
going to be parents
Andres came into the
world on Mother's
Day 2002 making us
deliriously happy.
Everything was going
so well until he reached
about 5 months of
age when I noticed
a small knot on his
right side. I didn't
think much of it until
it grew the size of
a 1/2 dollar and was
protruding. In December
he was scheduled for
surgery. The surgeon
saw him and put it
off until January.
He had the January
surgery, the mass
removed, and 6 week
later came back Clear
Cell Sarcoma of the
Soft tissue, it was
an extremely rare
and terminal cancer.
More scans were immediately
done revealing strange
formations in his
abdomens the thought
was the cancer was
in his gut. This whole
time. Andres was growing
on target, happy,
and what appeared
to be as thriving.
Surgery was scheduled
for the following
week to hopefully
remove and identify
further this abnormality.
That night in desperation
I called looking for
Fr. Ralph hoping someone
would take my call
out of what I figured
was just one of hundreds
in a day with hopeless
cases just like my
family's. I ended
up on the other line
with Aldona who was
a complete God-send
that prayed withs
me for the longest
time, reassured me,
and gave me strength
when I had none of
my own. My son's name
was placed on Fr.
Ralph's alter and
prayed for. The next
morning the surgery
took place and absolutely
nothing was found
at all. I never in
my life thanked Jesus
so much for taking
care of my baby. In
the months after that,
my son would get very
ill once, pull through
that, and then have
a third surgery to
go back to the original
site of the tumor
removed to do a deep
tissue excision to
see if here were any
cancer cells active.
The results came back
negative. He had no
cancer cells and his
CAT scan looked good.
My son was given the
best news possible
and hope for the future.
I truely feel that
I owe this to Fr.
Ralph delivering the
healing power of GOD
to my son thousands
of miles away. We
are still having him
remain under a very
watchful eye of the
doctors but I just
keep my prayers going
that GOD continues
to provide a future
for my son and give
the doctors positive
guidance to help us
through this. We are
very happy and forever
praise this miracle,
because that is all
my son is...a miracle."
