A SIMPLE PRAYER

To hear the voice of God

Dear Father,

at times so many of us wonder if

you really are there,

if you really care.

 

Yet faith tells me that you love me-

really love us - and that you will not

leave me to the forces of harm.

You have created me for yourself.

I am precious in your

eyes. Look now at my suffering heart.

 

Dear father, You have taught all of your saints

to hear your voice.

Teach me today how to be still and how

to listen. Teach me what your voice sounds like.

 

In the name of your Son, Jesus, stay

with me. Grant me - show me -

your healing signs and wonders of

your love. I need these to know you

sincerely care. Amen
