Pain and suffering will always be a pitiful, earthly consequence due to the sadden, fallen, weakened, human status ensuing from original sin. Sin and evil are so costly to every living person- every man and woman!

Is there a distinction between pain and suffering?

Pain can also be considered a blessing because it is in the alert area of indication that something needs attention. Listen to when pain becomes suffering. It becomes a torment. It also can effect a tremendous suffering of the mind. We, unlike the animal kingdom, compress both the past and the future into a terrifying present moment, even if the past is over and the future anxieties are not ours; nor are they in the realm of the possibility. Never! Never say to another person that you understand what someone who is suffering is feeling. When pain becomes intense suffering, then in that Godly, precious, special moment we are called to feel, to share, and to show care.
