My Dear Friends of the Apostolate,

You are so precious to God and to me. In God’s name I have loved you as I experience your sufferings, your many wounded needs, your hopeful help in God’s care for you through me.

I read your many letters and cries, many times into the dark night of each day, and I am most sensitively moved by so many letters of sorrows. At times I just break down in almost aching cries as Jesus did in the garden of Gethsemane over the pains of people.

So many personal, human and social factors are before us all, and these realistic factors have been in my heart and mind for so many years.

As you know, for 34 years out of my 53 years in Holy Ordination, serving faithfully in this ministry of doing so much good, I have had to deal with a gift which God Himself gave to me, and which was strictly discerned as valid from God to his people.

But I have had to struggle and labor all alone in dealing with this gift and with its needs, even though I was appropriately given full permission to serve the church in this atypical grace. God through the people have both loved us and gratefully helped our ministerial functioning needs.

For this reason, like the well known Fr. Flanagan of Boy’s Town, Nebraska, with appropriate authorization, he himself had to sustain and finance his program to the needy boys all by his own strengths and energies.

Because We Function as  A Self-Supporting Ministry:

Due to so many factors of present day living and so many other responsible factors in today’s world, I in conjunction with others have come to a wholesome and trustful conclusion. It pertains as you are now aware, that there is no longer a rental and Office Administration  donation being taken prior to sessions held in the church premises.

THEREFORE:

Time here  --for our rental ministry service-  at this fine St. Ann / St. Joachim  Parish Center, being limited due to parochial scheduling, I, in belief and trust in God and in His Divine Providence, am stepping out in compassionate faith.

By God's guidance, I and the Apostolate ministry, offer this graceful trust to all who wish to come and to participate in our scheduled sessions.

Specifically, what I am starting today with the audiences who come to our sessions, is this:

The Apostolate will no longer take its appropriate promulgated public monetary ticket donation which is so very much needed by us for Rental Service locales and for Office Administration Ministry Functioning to the public.

We are taking this step in faith and trust in God's merciful love and care to the sick, and especially for those affected by these tough economic times.

But as you can imagine, in order for us to continue to serve and to practically exist and administratively function for God, for His dear Son Jesus Christ to the sick, and to the suffering persons whom He loves so much, we must trust in the good will donations of persons.

Turning to the good people, Those of you who can   and who are able, are now being called to the Holy  United  "Partnership" in  Ministry of the Apostolate of Divine Mercy and Healing to the sick and to the suffering.

Our dear Lord Jesus Himself has promised so splendidly that " if you give a cup of water to one who belongs to me, you will not lose your reward."

I personally thank you, and I seek "Your devoted Partnership" in sustaining this simple and good ministry to be able to continue to serve and love the sick who come to God's embracing care.

Most sincerely, I prayerfully remain,

Your friend and priest,

Reverend Father Ralph A. DiOrio +
