Ralph Anthony DiOrio, Jr. was born on Saturday, July 19th, 1930 in Providence, Rhode Island. He was the first child of Ralph and Molly DiOrio.
At the age of 15 he entered the Minor Seminary of The Missionary Fathers of St. Charles (Scalabrinians), where he began his religious training. In September of 1949, he entered the Immaculate Conception Novitiate in Staten Island, New York where he first professed his religious vows a year later on October 7th, 1950, the feast of the Holy Rosary of Mary.
In 1953 at the age of 23 he received a Bachelor of Arts and Letters at St. Charles' Seminary, after which he entered the Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Melrose Park, Illinois.
On Saturday, June 1st, 1957, he was ordained a priest in Chicago, Illinois and became Father Ralph Anthony DiOrio, Jr. He began his priesthood on pastoral assignments in both the United States and Canada.
While in Utica, New York, Father DiOrio went on the air and spoke on the radio program "L'ora Catolica" from 1963 to 1967.
On March 29th, 1968, Father DiOrio became a Diocesan Priest for the Diocese of Worcester, Massachusetts. He also continued his studies and received postgraduate degrees at Fitchburg State College where he majored in School Psychology with additional training in Social Work Psychology.
On Sunday, May 9th, 1976, Father Ralph Anthony DiOrio, Jr. was Blessed with the Holistic Charisma of Healings and began his mission as the founder and director of the Apostolate of Divine Mercy and Healing.
In the time since receiving the gift of healing, Father Ralph has traveled the world touching and healing countless people in spirit, soul and body. He has done extensive work overseas in India and across Europe, as well as here in the United States and Mexico.
He has appeared in countless newspaper articles and magazines and has been featured in TV shows including an episode of "Unsolved Mysteries." He has received many awards and honors for his works including: the 1982 Children's Village USA Angel Award in Hollywood, California; UNICO Man of the year award in 1982; the 1997 Bishop O'Reilly Assembly (Knights of Columbus) Citizen of the Year Award; and the Witness Award in 2006 from the Passionist Community.
Father DiOrio also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Cum Laude, and the Honorary Doctorate of Philosophy bestowed upon him by Anna Maria College in Paxton, Massachusetts.
