THE POWER OF THE WRITTEN WORD:

VALUES are THE PURPOSE OF THE WRITTEN WORD.

Many written subjects have adulterated the beauty of the written word. Their defected thinking is destroying the healthy emotions of persons in need. It is an intellectual abuse to thinking men women. Teens are being seriously contaminated in thoughts and eventually into the errors of immoral, unhappy behaviors. Many a social psychopath has emerged in our society all because someone unhappy, bitter, resentful, filled with anger and most probably hate, needs to unhealthily emit venom under the camouflage of the narrative and written word. What does it communicate? Only you will experience its consequences in time?

Values are as old as God's creations:

To the reader who purchases or obtains literature, he or she is exposing oneself to the philosophy or the thinking of another human person. A book or other form of written communication is and should make one first think of what this man or woman is in their psyche, their soul, their philosophy, their frustrations, their experiences of goodness, whatever. The invited reader for the sake of safety of self should first investigate the mental poison which is realistically out there on the market. Are these influences of thinking essentially good or bad? Many persons write to confirm themselves in approval before the world. It is the old struggle to be accepted, by hook or crook. Bad and immoral literature is nothing more than a person who needs real affirmation. Many of them in are in revolt because of some lack of love, care, devotion. Love for them has turned sour, and expresses its inner conflict to supposedly emotional acceptances to persons having also sometime in life undergone sorrows, hurts, holistic wounds not appropriately resolved.

FOR HEALTHY READING AND INFLUENCE:

In your choice of reading materials, I ask you -- for your safety's sake, for the good of others whom you know and will meet in life, that you be attentively cautious in what you digest with and in your mind. Be wisely and intelligently selective, etc. in what you choose. Be exceptionally, be very, very selective in what you obtain to read for yourselves or for your family.

CONSEQUENCES:

Reading thoughts produce actions:

Reading provides information, good or bad, and it is part of making a statement (ideas).

Allow your reading to help you to live wisely. This should be your ultimate goal even if you are doing some research or other immediate intentions for reading. All said and all things being considered, you really are influencing your subconscious to resurrect your "garaged feelings," but which feelings you can resurrect and do something with, good or bad. The outcome is depending upon how you repressed your former experiences. You, at this point of the thinking process, are able to recall them to your conscious level. There one can control them, or have them control you, into some form of human action. What do you want to be responsible for in your dealing with them at this precise moment of decision? Think wholeheartedly about this!

THE GRACE OF SPIRITUAL READING:

In reading the written word, there is power inherent to spiritual reading; namely, it decreases our natural instincts. It thus empties ourselves of ourselves. It allows his love to enter within our thoughts, our wills, and our hearts (our love response to the good influence afforded to us from God and the Holy Spirit). We become inspired to be better, and then to help others in their journey of the "hard knocks" in life.

When we read wholesome things, religious or secular, etc., from the many formats of communication, we become influenced. In reference to God, we allow his love to enter us. It fills us afresh with refreshing love for truth, for values, for life worth living. It increases within us a docile spirit for new hope. It renders us obedience. It guides us to wholesome submission which is not "power control" over us, but a love invitation to goodness, both Ethically and Moral Theologically.

When God speaks to us through spiritual reading, a marvelous growth occurs. It renders us obedience, submissiveness to God's Holy Divine Plan for us as He made us for His purpose. Moreover, its dynamics is to inspire us to muster a holistic and wholesome change of heart.

What takes place?

] In so being influenced, we willingly read the values which are enclosed the written format; these are the chosen author's style, the form of literature, narration, poetry, philosophy, music - whatever. We do so slowly most of the times. We do so reflectively, especially if the written word stimulates our emotions. It excites us in motivating us to action. Slowly again we reflect, we meditate with the spirit and the soul. In a word, we are in the presence of God, and we are praying!

When delving into eternal values, we experience values which with the "Constance of Time" have proven to be from the Divine Guidance sharing to us "absolute truths." Even though in this world of much perplexity there are no absolutes, nevertheless, in spiritual reading discerned and approved as valid thinking, we find no errors of thought and substance. Only God and truth and goodness are absolute because they are from Heaven's Opened Gates. Therefore, values based from God instill within us a security of behavior because regardless of times and circumstances, values will always remain absolute. They are unchanging.

Another quality of values is that they never offer novelty. They are not whimsical experiences passing very rapidly like a breeze of springtime. No! Values considered from salutary reading are to be dealt with not as a destructive communication, but as someone who desires to dwell peacefully over them. They, longing to be respectful for their earthly lives, accept them as God's creation, as God sharing his love, his thoughts for our "journey of faith" to him. This is fulfilling God's Promise to us through his Divine Providence.

Let Us Pray:

Dear God, Help us to respect the gift of life you gave to us. Give us decent motion pictures again which influence the world with integrity, quality, substance, character. Grant us the chance to show that we can be responsible, orderly, law-abiding citizens. Give us clean, wholesome newsstands and drugstore magazine racks with inspirational stories which will embellish our country by making our people wholesome and decent, rather than the trash that now blazes at us daily from warped psyches.

Grant writers to give us magazines and books which encourage us with the gift of the Holy Spirit, that is The Gift of Exhortation, so that our country will be clean in thoughts and behavior. These, dear Lord, will assist us to follow high ideals into invigorating and beneficial action.

Above all, dear Lord, give us Your Presence, It will enrich us with your support and guidance. Amen.
